Faith Based Visits
Celebrating the Birth of Jesus is What Christmas is all about.
Santa John believes that Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. Santa is proud to offer families the option of having a faith-based visit with Santa. Santa honors and respects diversities in faith and does not promote any specific religion. If a faith-based virtual visit is requested Santa will provide a theme based on the birth of Jesus.
Your visit may include:
- Asking your family if they have prayer requests.
- Talk about the birth of Jesus and his birthday.
- Share the Nativity Story.
- If requested end with prayer.
Santa John believes that celebrating the birth of Jesus is what Christmas is all about. When requested to do so Santa will share the Christmas story from the bible. Depending on the age of the children he will read the Christmas story in Luke chapter 2. This is the New International Version.
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while [a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register.
So, Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Santa may ask the children in joining in in the singing of Silent Night. Here are the lyrics if you would like to review them with your children.
Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia,
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born.
Santa John’s faith is an important part of his visits. Whether it is a home visit, working in a retail setting or doing a virtual visit he is sensitive to the desires of the family. Some families might just want Santa to mention Jesus’ birthday while others would appreciate a more comprehensive approach. It is a simple message that Santa would like all to hear even the youngest children.
Santa John’s spiritual journey began at an early age. He has taught Sunday school for many years to children and youth. He is currently teaching Sunday school in the youth department of his church.
Santa can be part of the fun of Christmas. Santa’s gifts are representative of generosity and grace, whether or not we are deserving. Santa believes that Christmas is not always about receiving but is many times about giving. Santa will discuss the importance of considering the importance of sharing and giving to families that are not as fortunate as they are.
